This is a basic Linux course for those with no prior Linux knowledge. There is also a basic introduction to the following office applications: OpenOffice.org, Inkscape, Scribus, and the Calibre ebook manager.

This is a paid course. Selected sample lessons will be periodically made available for free.
  • Free lessons from various courses. Each topic covers a different course. Normally, one free lesson is released each month. If a lesson is deemed particularly timely or important, it will be released out of order that month, and the cycle will resume where it left off the following month.

  • Living self-sufficiently is not possible without one or more income streams that doesn't depend on an employer. I have been supplementing my current income speculating in stocks, commodities, and currency trading for twenty-four years. There are risks involved, but they are manageable when handled properly. This course teaches the methods I use in my own trading accounts.

Please Consider Donating; Every Penny Helps

If you find the free lessons on this site useful and have not enrolled in one of our courses, donating a few dollars to this site can help us provide more free course material and lessons. Thanks to all who have been kind enough to donate, particularly in difficult economic times. Your help is very much appreciated.

Tradecraftsolutions and the Worker-Capitalist Society want to be your partners in learning economic self-sufficiency. We think there is a spectrum of self sufficiency from total dependence on an employer for a pay check, a bank for a mortgage, and the presence of modern societal and technological infrastructure for food clothing and shelter to complete off-grid independence from all of them. We will be developing how-to courses in everything from frugal living and saving money to get out of debt to going completely off-grid, living in a house you built, growing your own food, and producing your own power.
